This Privacy Policy explains how EVOLV (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit www.sharpcutpro.com (the “Site”) or use the SharpCut™ software and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1) What we collect

Information you provide
  • Account & contact info: name, business name, email, phone, address, password.
  • Billing: billing name, address, VAT/tax ID; payment cards are processed by our payment processor (we don’t store full card numbers).
  • Support & feedback: messages, attachments, survey responses.
  • Distributor/partner applications: business profile, licenses, documentation you upload.
Information collected automatically
  • Device & usage data: IP address, device type, OS, browser, language, time zone.
  • Log & diagnostic data: pages viewed, features used, clicks, timestamps, crash reports.
  • Cookies & similar tech: cookies, local storage, and analytics pixels (see Cookies below).
Information from third parties
  • Payments & fraud prevention providers, analytics platforms, email and support tools.


2) How we use information

  • Provide & operate the Services (account creation, authentication, syncing templates).
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Improve features (e.g., nesting, search), fix bugs, and optimize performance.
  • Communicate service updates, security notices, onboarding tips, promotions (you can opt out of marketing).
  • Security & fraud prevention; enforce Terms of Service.
  • Legal compliance (tax, accounting, regulatory).

Legal bases (EEA/UK): performance of contract, legitimate interests (product improvement, security), consent (cookies/marketing), and legal obligations.

  • Support tickets & logs: for troubleshooting and security, then deleted or anonymized.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, backups). No method is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password and keep it confidential.


7) International transfers

If you access the Services from outside the United States, your data may be processed in countries with different laws. For EEA/UK users, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers to our processors.


8) Your rights & choices

EEA/UK (GDPR)

You may access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or export (port) your data; and withdraw consent at any time (doesn’t affect prior processing). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data authority.

United States (state privacy laws)

Residents of certain states (e.g., CA/CPRA, CO, CT, VA, UT) may have rights to access, delete, correct, opt out of targeted advertising, and limit use of sensitive data (if any). We do not sell personal information. If we use targeted advertising cookies, you can opt out via the cookie banner or your browser signal where supported.

Marketing

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in each message. We will continue sending essential service emails (e.g., security, billing).

The Services are not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided data, contact us to remove it.

12) California “Notice at Collection”

We collect the following categories for the purposes described above: Identifiers (name, email, IP), Commercial information (subscriptions, transactions), Internet/Network activity (logs, analytics), Geolocation (approximate from IP), Inferences (feature usage trends).

Selling/Sharing: We do not sell personal information. If we “share” for cross-context behavioral advertising, you can opt out via the cookie banner.
